THANK YOU to all Contributors - DLA 2013: Connectivity and Collaboration in Planning and Design

Bernburg, 13 June, 2013

From 6 ‐ 8 June, 2013 the international community and digital experts in Landscape Architecture came together to exchange and discuss the latest developments in Computer Sciences regarding Landscape Architecture. For the fourteenth time, Anhalt University offered a platform for these scientific, international dialogues. The participation of more than 90 scientist and professional participants and 60 landscape architecture students from a total of 33 countries shows the emerging significance of the DLA Conference in Landscape Architecture and its neighboring disciplines.

The largest German flood of the last 100 years hit the Saale River in Bernburg on the day of arrival. Members of the "Green Faculty" of Anhalt University managed to relocate the entire conference within 24 hours from the flooded Conference Center at the Kurhaus to the Biotechnikum, on the Bernburg Strenzfeld campus. This location is north of the river valley on high land and served as an oasis in the midst of crisis.
